About
I graduated from the School of Visual Arts with a BFA degree and worked as a commercial photographer for 30 years.
My portfolio to enter art school was as a print maker (wood block, silk screen, etching, lithograph and photography) which started back in Junior High School. I am returning to my roots by creating print work on the computer. Even as a photographer I look to painters and print work to do research on photo assignments.
The point of view I based my photos on was Hopper, O’Keeffe, Bonnard, Matisse and Van Gogh. I was frustrated by the amount of details in the photographs.
When the digital craze started I took that opportunity to teach myself Photoshop. I see designs all around me. I use the computer to turn everyday scenes into what my imagination sees.
